Calling all Parliamentarians. Are you playing for Africa in September 2010. More info at Tennis for Africa website.

TENNIS AUTOGRAPH’S FOR CHARITY was started over 30 years ago. Stars of the Tennis World sign Postal First day covers with a tennis stamps theme and other suitable  items and stars of the tennis world were asked to sign them. Many of the greats did and continue to do so. All the items come with a letter of Authenticity.
The items are then given to bona fide charities to mainly auction off to raise funds or occasionally sold at events to gain funds for the charity. A few items are sold to private collectors who request a certain players signature.
The majority of money raised goes to Charities usually over 90%. The 10% or less is used to buy the First Day covers and other items suitable for players to sign. Annually two Wimbledon Championship posters are bought so any player or celebrity that attends the Championship can sign. The Posters are much sought after as usually over 80 signatures will be on the Posters.
Charities such as BBC Children in Need, SPARKS, Arthur Ashe inner city tennis Development fund, Tim & Tom Gullikson fund, Cliff Richard Tennis Development fund, BBC Radio Lincolnshire Going for Gold Appeal, Andre Agassi Children's Charity Fund, Save the Rhino, JL Kids, and a variety of other charities have benefited from our assistance.
